What are text widgets? Cadvance Widgets are smart text objects that can be used with all versions of Cadvance beginning with 99 to the present version to manage a variety of tasks. |

Why are text widgets different? Standard Cadvance text can only be used to print a labels in a drawing. Truetype fonts can also do the same with the the ability to display a variety of fonts. A text widget is CAD text that can do a lot more than either one by itself. |

What a text widget can do for text. |

Display text as labels, background objects are blanked out around text. Open web pages on the Intranet as well as the Internet Execute macros or start other applications Open drawings to view or edit Show the plot scale Display Date/Time stamps Drawing name stamp |

Location datum stamp provides the absolute coordinates of a point in a drawing. |
